I’m Maura Fitzgerald, WordPress designer and enthusiast in Raleigh, NC. I work primarily with solopreneurs and small businesses and engage with consultants (graphic designers and copywriters) on projects as needed. We work exclusively with WordPress.org and quality themes to represent the best of you and your business.
Our objective is to translate your professional needs and style in to a highly functional finished product that marries your brand with the intended audience creating an engaging and interactive experience.
The primary focus is on the user and usability. We will construct an easy-to-navigate site design providing a simple and intuitive user experience across all the different devices from which it will potentially be viewed. Our goal is to discern the purpose and intent of your site, and convey your messaging as a means to captivate, sustain, and elicit action.
Constructing a website or blog is a creative process that is both exhilarating and addictive. It involves a lot of moving pieces, and the opportunity to work with you to put all the moving pieces into one cohesive whole is extremely satisfying.
My back story…
I continue to be inspired not only by the obvious but by subtle cues presented along the way.
After spending several years in a corporate environment providing project management support primarily in the online event arena with lots of exposure to web development, I had taken pause to reassess the direction of my time and talent. It was a process of reflecting on what inspires me and what I most enjoyed from past experiences.
What emerged is an understanding of my instinctively creative nature with a love for all things style and design. Always frustrated with the lack of a satisfying creative outlet with any one medium, I pursued lots of creative projects on a superficial level. This was less than desirable yet sustaining as my main preoccupation was full time employment.
Reflection gave way to clarity…
My technical background and creative energy made the career choice obvious, one worth pursuing. As a first step toward carving out a new niche, I began taking courses in Multimedia Design at a local college. Direction was on point, visibility crystal clear.
Anyway, the rest is history as they say, and moving forward, I continue to be inspired not only by the obvious but by subtle cues presented along the way.
